Smarter Eats: Have Meals at the Table

One way I've been eating healthier this year, is by practicing mindful eating. What I mean by that is I'm really taking the time to be aware of the food I eat. By doing so, I'm developing healthier food habits and eating in more responsible ways.

1/2 cup of regular Quinoa with a splash of garlic powder and curry powder 1/2 cup of pinto beans Firm tofu cooked over the stove just until golden brown with Sriracha hot sauce on top to give it a tasty kick! Yellow summer squash and broccoli steamed   So yummy!

I have been on a revamp of lifestyle since May of 2008....I lost about 60 pounds...I keep teeter tottering but haven't met my goal yet so I am finally--after holidays and what not--going to buckle down and get to business. I am HUGE on dessert but since many are high in fat and calories I opt for Fat free stuff like Breyers ice cream and skinny cows. The only thing is I know they have sweeteners.
