I'm trying to get in the battlefield mindset. This weekend is my younger sister's bridal shower. I'm very excited because I'm her maid of honor and I've planned every last detail of this shower; hopefully it is going to be a fun time for her and our guests.

But my main concern with the shower is curbing the urge to overindulge on all of the shower food. We're having tons of goodies, like chicken salad on croissants, pasta salad, spinach & artichoke dip with pita chips, cake, etc, etc. Normally, this is a perfect time for me to eat/graze with abandon and then feel guilty about it. This time I've decided to give myself permission to have one normal serving of everything I like and move on. I'll count that as my lunch, have a grilled chicken salad for dinner and keep going with my week.

Exercise is going to be a challenge since I'll be home with my family all weekend. I may just skip it and work out a little more each day next week. I'll just see how the weekend goes. Wish me luck!
