How are your New Year's resolutions coming along? You've had over a week to live with them, and here's your chance to reassess your health and fitness goals for the new year with the Get Fit For 2010 community challenge. Since sticking to resolutions — running a marathon, losing your baby weight, or eating a more balanced diet — can be rough, we have not only started a community group for support but also created a contest so you can win prizes while working toward becoming a healthier you. For the next 12 weeks, we will be posting a challenge on FitSugar every Monday, and by meeting the challenge you will be automatically entered for a chance to win the weekly prize — a $100 Nike gift card.

This week's challenge: Write a blog post stating your fitness and health goals for the year in the Get Fit For 2010 group. I'd love to see a "before" image to go with your blog post too.
I am participating (one of my goals is to run a half marathon), and my pal LilSugar is joining the community too — she'll be video blogging her progress every Tuesday. If you're ready to join the fun and feel the community support, log in and head directly to Get Fit For 2010. Need a little help making a blog post? Then check out these tips on posting in our group.
At the end of three months, we will pick a grand prize winner at random from all of the entries in all of the weekly challenges. The more you participate, the more chances you have to win the grand prize: a $1,000 gift card from Nike; a year of personalized nutrition plans by nutritionist Alexa Fishback, plus a copy of her book; a year membership to 24 Hour Fitness for you and a friend; and two Bodybuggs.
If you're not already a member of the PopSugar Community, register here now. Click here for the official rules.
You have until 11:59 p.m. PST on Sunday, Jan. 17, to complete your first challenge. I can't wait to read what your goals are. Ready. Set. Blog!

Note: A lot of the links in this post say that I do not have access to them even though I am logged in and part of the group...
1hi rainmemories, Sorry about the links! I have checked all of them and they should now be working! Please let me know if you have any other problems! Good luck!
2awesome! I would LOVE to try a bodybugg, but they're so expensive! This will be good to be accountable too!
3awesome!
i am going to commit running 5 times a week for total of15 miles. which is definitely a challenge for me since i'm a yogi and not a runner.
but i can't wait to get started!
4I am going to complete my first triathlon (sprint distance) and go on at least 2 fitness dates a month with my boyfriend (tennis/surfing/etc.).
5Our health is our most important asset. For many people, being overweight is associated with being uncomfortable in their own skin. To assist with weight control, every time the urge to snack is felt, first drink a large glass of clear water. This simple act will help you to eat less. Water will soon become one of your best friends. The major reason so many people in America are overweight is because we eat too much for comfort! It does not hurt to treat ourselves with something special once in a while, what is necessary is that we limit our portions and do not overeat! It is also necessary to keep our body properly hydrated, so drink a full glass of water with each meal or snack. Being overweight ******, but after reading a book, I lost 85 pounds! Words can not express how good I feel! This is a comment which I recently received about the book Lose Weight Using Four Easy Steps
6These are great goals. Remember to create a blog post in the Get Fit for 2010 community group to enter the contest.
7I've been working out daily. Just wanting to tone up and drop a few pounds. It is going to be a spectacular 2010 because I am dedicating time for me.
8I want to lose 75 pounds this year.
9Started early and doing will but can always use added help.
10cool fit 2010
11I am also trying to run in the half marathon this year. I ran a 10 k last year with my daughter, enjoyed it very much. Both of us are also having a bet who can lose 20 pounds in 3 months.
12Just getting out of bed is making a big step in my life...
13A friend told me to be more specific than just "get fit", so my resolution is to lose 6-8 inches over my body. Toning is my goal and hopefully I can stay focused enough. It definitely gets harder as I get older. I am looking forward to hanging out here and getting and giving support. Thanks.
14I tore my knee ligament while I was training for my job. I have been trying to get back into shape so I can start running again. My goals for 2010 is to run in a half marathon and drink more water so I can feel better about my shape.
15I am going to TRY and cut more sugar out. And main objective.......to be bikini ready before spring. Almost there.
16My goal is build strength this year. I have a physical condition that makes working out difficult, but I am determined!
17Wow, love this! I've been trying to get healthy and get in shape but being new to it all I really don't know where to start! I'm really excited about this group! The prizes should help me stay motivated (I might need some helping motivation lol) but I would have joined without the chance of a prize. I've never won a prize before and hardly hear about people winning but this seemes really legit and it is a good cause! I'm more excited about living 2010 now!
18I am hoping to lose about 20 pounds. It been a while since I exercised so I am starting out slow with walking and then go to build more each month.
19wow
20love to lose 50 lbs
that be so cool
i'm joining a club so that I would be able to go swimming and work out at least 3 times a week. I have alot of flab to lose and really need to firm up. wish it wouldn't take so long. i'd love to see results right away, but know it's not going to happen. i've been waiting too long to start and it keeps getting worse.
21President Obama promised $100 million and the full resources of the U.S. government for what he said would be one of the largest relief efforts in recent history. U.S. officials said 30 countries had either sent aid or promised to do so. Rescue teams from eight countries were on the ground.
22My goal is to be able to run for a full mile. I know that does not seem like much but I have never been able to do it. In high school I use to cheat during the mile run. I walked and only went around the track three times. At 35 I want to be able to do what I could not do as a teenager. Wish me luck. I am joining a gym today!
23I am a personal trainer and this is the year I want to be in the best shape! I am training for a marathon right now and want to be able to run in 4:45 or less. I plan to try an indoor and outdoor sprint triathlon. I also want to start doing hot yoga and swimming on a regular basis. And to sum it all up I want to lose 13 pounds. Wish me luck!!!
24This year i have taken a resolution for some thing which sounds very strange like of taking care of all the street dogs in my society since every year i do it a resolution for myself for my family but this is the time for my own pets i am having a french mastiff and the insecure street dogs to make them secure.
25regards:french mastiffs
Everyday I work towards my physical, mental and relationship health. Being a mother, wife and grad student, a little daily exercise goes a long way in helping me stay balanced (and at an appropriate weight)
26My goals are to lose 40 lbs and to be able to walk 5 miles a day. If only my body would cooperate. I fell 2 weeks ago on my knee. Now I have fluid on my knee and stirred my arthritis in my rt knee up also. I can't wait to be in shape again so I can work toward my goal especially so I can walk my new puppy, Pray for me!

28These are amazing goals man...great post good going ....
My main goals this year are to continue my fitness regimen (currently 3-5 days a week) and to eat healthier greener meals.
29Hi!! I just joined right now due to my lack of willpower. I have always been the kind of girl who exercised, and watched my eating habits, but due to lack of time, school and work, I've not put it on my priority list. Since this year started I promised and decided I really needed to do something.. I have been exercising, but not as often.. I decided that this year I will eat much healthier, ask myself twice if I am REALLY Hungry, and put myself, health and body first. Let's hope this will help me, and give me the lack of willpower I lack most of the time...
Thanks@@ AND GOOD LUCK EVERYONE
30I promised I would work out 4-5 days a week and I have so far this week.
